GRAND BAHAMA- THE BAHAMAS – Residents are saying that they want Members of Parliament who are visible, accessible, and engaged – not just during election season, but throughout their full five-year term.

Bishop Arnold Pinder Jr. and businessman Cecil Moore both echoed that call.

For principal and veteran educator Cheryl Wood, The priority is clear. She says anyone seeking office must show a serious commitment to the future of the country, Starting with the youth.

Other residents, who asked to remain anonymous, shared concerns spanning both island-wide and community-level issues. One resident is calling for better governance and national direction. The other is pointing to the need for greater development and opportunity in East Grand Bahama.

Beyond politics, another resident says the country must also focus on unity.

As the political season continues to heat up, Bishop Pinder is urging Bahamians to remember the power of their vote and to engage in the process peacefully and respectfully.
