NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Ninety-six-thousand-dollars to be split amongst six vendors who lost their stalls in a massive blaze at Potter’s Cay Dock last year.

While this is good news for those needing to rebuild, other stall owners say more must be done to enhance the cultural hub.

Vendors tell Our News they have seen a slight uptick in business after a slow period. However, they believe the dock could be booming if the area was more visually appealing.

Now Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs Clay Sweeting making a pledge to assist vendors who lost their stalls last year due to fire.

Vendors say this action is long overdue.
