CUBA – Cuba is bracing for a dark Christmas, with authorities warning that power outages will not ease through the holidays.

Officials say fuel shortages and aging infrastructure mean millions of Cubans could face hours-long blackouts during Christmas Eve dinner and on Christmas day.

Government continues to blame the U.S. embargo for limiting access to fuel and repair parts.

The energy crisis has deepened after the United States seized a Venezuelan oil tanker earlier this month.

Cuba reportedly relies heavily on Venezuelan fuel and residents say gas stations are already running dry.
