Preliminary Roster for Team Bahamas Announced for FIBA Americup

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An 18-man preliminary Team Bahamas roster has been released by the Bahamas Basketball Federation for the Americup tournament.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An 18-man preliminary Team Bahamas roster has been released by the Bahamas Basketball Federation.

Those team members include:

Radshad Davis

Tavario Miller Sr

Travis Munnings

Domnick Bridgewater

David Nesbitt

Jaraun Burrows

Godfrey Rolle III

Danrad Knowles

Aaron Levarity

Kai Jones

Emmanuel Newsome

The first game is set for February 22 in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Rico Roberto Clemente Collesium then the team will come home and play against Puerto Rico at the Kendall G.L. Isaacs Gym on February 25 at 7pm.

BAISS Basketball Playoffs

In senior boys play will be Kingsway Academy against the reigning champions, C.W. Saunders.

In the senior girls division, Kingsway will match up against St. John’s College. 

In the junior boys division, St. John’s will play Queen’s College and in junior girls play, SAC will match up against St. John’s College.

The best-of-three championships get underway on Monday at the Kendall G.L. Isaacs Gym

Sports Repairs

Sports Minister Mario Bowleg says repairs to both the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium and the pool at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatics Center are going well. In fact, he says they may be ahead of schedule.

His comments came on the sidelines of that partnership between Bahamasair and NFL Flag Bahamas Wednesday.

Bowleg says meetings continue with track and other senior govt officials to ensure we are ready.
