NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Funds and manpower are the two most urgent things needed for the Kingdor National Parkinson Foundation according to their president, Mavis Darling-Hill.

The foundation, created in 2000, hosts caregivers workshops to support those caring for loved ones with Parkinson’s disease, and educational campaigns like speech competitions and the moving day campaign in hopes of raising awareness in the community.

But Darling-Hill says their options are limited without financial support.

Where they can’t get monetary donations, Darling-Hill hopes they can attract those who are willing to donate their time.

She tells Our News the foundation is in need of committed volunteers, who are willing to work in the name of the cause.
