INDONESIA – A young Brazilian hiker who fell from the ridge of a towering Indonesian volcano and was trapped there for almost four days was found dead on Tuesday.

Emergency responders in Indonesia were trying to reach 27-year-old Juliana Marins, who fell off a cliff while hiking around the country’s second-highest volcano over the weekend.

Marins was walking with five friends on Mount Rinjani on Saturday when she slipped and fell off a cliff on the side of the 12,224-foot mountain.

Fifty people were involved in the four-day rescue mission, which ended with a tragic outcome.
