NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The prosecution has dropped obstruction and gun possession charges against the housekeeper of prominent businessman Al Collie.

And the DPP has directed that Collie will face no charges stemming from a shootout with police.

Police arrested 66-year-old Beverlyn Morrison after she allegedly trued to prevent them from carrying out their duties.

Around 2am, on November 20, police officers allegedly went to Collie’s home at Sea Beach with a search warrant.

Morrison was accused of trying to prevent the officers from entering, causing them to force their way inside.

The officers alleged that Collie opened fire and they returned fire, hitting him in the arm and buttocks.

Police found .380 pistol along with four rounds of ammunition in the home.

Collie has reportedly had a special license to carry a handgun for more than a decade.
