NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A child molester has admitted to having uncontrollable urges for young boys.

Fifty-eight-year-old Dwight Belle raped a nine-year-old boy whom he lured to his home on September 7, 2024.

The crime took place shortly after Belle had completed a sentence of nine years and five months for molesting a five-year-old boy.

Belle pleaded guilty to his most recent crime and is awaiting sentencing. Prosecutors say Belle deserves 20 years behind bars, while the defense is asking for a sentence of 10 years and psychiatric treatment.

Nathan Smith argued that the chance of Belle molesting another child would be reduced if he gets treatment while serving his sentence.

Belle will learn his fate when he appears before Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez on April 27.
