NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prosecutors won’t pursue an appeal of a judge’s decision to dismiss a manslaughter against Blounand Vedrine in the death of his infant daughter.

Shaneka Carey withdrew an appeal against the decision of Justice Dale Fitzpatrick.

Vedrine was accused of the September 6, 2013 death of Berlindia Vedrine.

The infant was pronounced dead at the Gregory Town, Eleuthera, clinic and the autopsy showed that she died from blunt force trauma to the head.

The autopsy also revealed that the baby’s ribs had been broken several weeks before her death.
