Public Impressed with Swift Junkanoo Clean-Up

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Junkanoo wrapped up less than 48 hours ago, but already much of the parade’s route has been cleaned up, much to the delight… and surprise of locals and visitors.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Junkanoo wrapped up less than 48 hours ago, but already much of the parade’s route has been cleaned up, much to the delight… and surprise of locals and visitors.

Just yesterday morning the county’s biggest parade of the year wrapped up, and the thousands of attendees and Junkanooers headed home after the long night.

But there was something else many of us left behind after the parade – our trash.

McKell Bonaby, Executive Chairman at Bahamas Public Parks and Public Beaches Authority, says they worked on the strategy for four weeks.
