Baseball

D’shawn Knowles ended his 2023 Minor League Season in AA Baseball and the Los Angeles Angels prospect looks to make another leap in 2024.

Looking to progress in the organization and with a possible position change on the way, Knowles detailed how his work throughout the offseason has prepared him for the next step.

In 128 games with the Tri City Dust Devils and Rocket City Trash Pandas, Knowles hit .249, with 40 RBI, 30 stolen bases, and four home runs.

A minor league veteran who has also played at the national team level in the World Baseball Classic, he discussed how those experiences have shaped his career.

Meanwhile, a Great Britain teammate of Knowles at the WBC – BJ Murray is having an immediate impact for the Chicago Cubs in his second spring training appearance with the big league club.

Murray’s 8th inning home-run gave the Cubs a late lead in their  6-5 win yesterday over the Los Angeles in Cactus League play.

Drafted by the Cubs in 2021, Murray played last season with the Tennessee Smokies and his postseason run helped lead the team to the Southern League title.

In 2022 he won the Midwest League title with the South Bend Cubs.
