GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – East Grand Bahama coming alive yesterday despite some rain showers. The first rake and scrape festival highlighting down home Bahamian culture.

The rake and scrape festival in High Rock officially in the history books as a success. Despite some rain showers in the day, attendees making the best of the event and even getting hands on training on some traditional Bahamian instruments.

Then, it was time for the professionals to hit the stage. There was quadrille dancing. And, even a little friendly competition.

Officially opening the ceremony was Member of Parliament for East Grand Bahama, Kwasi Thompson.

President of the Rake ‘N’ Scrape committee, Willis Ingraham proudly declaring that East Grand Bahama is here to take over. Administrator Dale Gelin adding that he is pleased about the level of support shown to the eastern community.
