NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Royal Bahamas Police Force is highlighting a lesser-known unit: its legal department.

Led by Chief Superintendent David Cox the office provides legal advice and support across the force from senior leadership to officers handling cases on the ground.

The department established under former Commissioner Ellison Greenslade has grown over the years, playing a key role in guiding investigations handling complaints and assisting with prosecutions.

Cox says their dual role as both officers and attorneys gives them a unique advantage, helping bridge the gap between law enforcement and the legal system.
