Sure enough, it was confirmed that long-time West Grand Bahama and Bimini MP Obie Wilchcombe had died. We spoke to several residents who say they did not see this coming.

The unexpected news sent shockwaves throughout Grand Bahama early Monday morning when many residents got calls that Wilchcombe was found unresponsive.

Many residents still grappling with the news of his passing, noting that they would have just seen him the night before when Wilchcombe addressed a PLP Women’s Branch Meeting in Grand Bahama.
