CURAÇAO – Over in Curaçao the 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships having its final session tonight with The Bahamas holding on to a commanding lead.

The Bahamas comes into day 4 of the 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships with a sizable lead over the rest of the competition, but before we get to that, let’s take a look at a few elite swimmers from across the Caribbean.

Despite bringing only four swimmers to the games, Haiti is punching well above their weight, winning 1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.

Haiti’s top swimmer, Christian Jerome does not take his accomplishments lightly.

Nikolai Blacmon of Trinidad and Tobago set a record when he won the boys 100 meter freestyle in the 15-17 division.

For three-time medalist Marley Howes of the Cayman Islands, the real CARIFTA journey includes the friends she’s made along the way.
