NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The nation’s leader remembering the legacy of the father of the nation on what would have been his 93rd birthday.

Sir Lynden Pindling, the first Bahamian prime minister as you heard there in our historical recap, was born on March 22, 1930.

As the country continues to celebrate on the road to the 50th year of independence, Prime Minister Philip Davis says it’s only fitting that we remember his legacy, as it’s intertwined with our journey to independence.

Prime Minister Davis adding that as the country commemorates Sir Lynden’s birthday, Bahamians should always remember the lessons he taught about unity and resilience.
