NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Parliamentarians paying respect to those who lost their lives on board the HMBD Flamingo back on May 10th 1980.

Prime Minister Philip Davis moving a resolution to make May 10th a day of remembrance for those who made the sacrifice and died in the process.

The resolution which was passed in Parliament Wednesday means all flags must be flown at half mast.

The crew was attacked by Cuban fighter jets after intercepting a Cuban vessel found poaching in Bahamian waters and four men died.

Wednesday, each member of parliament was given five minutes to pay respects to the honorable men.
