NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Bahamian NBA player has a big game to help his team pull out a key playoff win.
The Exuma National Regatta wrapped up over the past weekend. The event was a rousing success and we have the results: The headline event of our national sport, the Exuma National Regatta concluded over the weekend.
The country’s official sport was on full display at the event with sailors from throughout The Bahamas participating.
Ruff Justice, captained by Mark Knowles out of Long Island was the winner of the Prime Minister’s Cup.
New Susan Chase V. captained by Stefan Knowles from Long Island won the Governor General’s Cup.
The commodore emeritus cup was won by the Whitty K, captained by Cochise Burrows or Long Island.
And, the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs Cup was won by Man-o-war, captained by Leslie “Buzzy” Rolle of Exuma.
New legend, skippered by David Knowles, also of long island won the class A division.
Abaco Boys won B and B classes with David Gale winning in lonesome dove in the B-division and Jeff Gale winning the C-division in it ain’t right.
Captain Peg, captained by South Andros’s very own Josh Green won the E-class.
Klay Thompson and his Golden State Warriors had an incredible game against the Sacramento Kings yesterday, barely coming out with a one-point win.
Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors had 26 points 2 rebounds and 3 assists points to help his team squeak past the Sacramento Kings 126-125 and tie their series at 2 wins apiece.
Stephen Curry (who else?) led the warriors in scoring with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. He almost completely undid the Warriors’ lead when he was assessed a technical foul for calling a timeout when the team was out of them, allowing the Kings to come within one point.
Deaaron Pox had 38 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
Rookie forward Keegan Murray had 23 points and 7 assists.
The win ties the series at 2 wins apiece.
Klay and the warriors have a chance to go ahead in the series on wednesday.
