SAN FRANCISCO – Richardson, the only Bahamian coach in the history of Major League Baseball, and his San Francisco Giants started the season off shaky, amassing a 17-23 record over the first month and a half of the season, good for third place in the rugged National League West division that features the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team with the best record in the National League.

The Giants seemed to turn things around over the past week, sweeping the Philadelphia Phillies in a three-game series and winning two games out of their three-game series against the Miami Marlins giving them five wins over their last 6 games.

The Marlins played the series without Bahamian superstar Centerfielder Jazz Chisholm, who is out after a brutal collision with a wall last week.

After this series, they’re off to the midwest for an extended road trip for series against Minnesota and then Milwaukee where they have a chance to build on last week’s momentum.
