Second Man Charged In Connection with May 8 Murder

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The second suspect is behind bars in relation to the May 8 murder of a 41-year-old man.

Prosecutors  say Javonne Allen is responsible for the fatal shooting of Ira Grant. According to police, Grant was sitting in his car in the front of a auto body repair business on All Saints Way when two gunmen appeared on a moped and opened fire 

Grant died at the scene.

Allen was not required to enter a plea to the murder charge when he stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

Bail was denied and he’s back in court on October 9 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers 

Allen’ s co-accused Darante Bullard was charged  on May 16.
