NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Over 100 new security officers are on the way for Family Island clinics according to Health Minister, Dr. Michael Darville.

He says it was sparked by an incident earlier in the year, involving a hostage incident with clinic staff in Eleuthera.

He says spreading the word that security is on the way for the clinics is key.

Dr. Darville says Cabinet has already approved.

He says the addition of security and maintenance staff is overdue.
