NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Notaries Public Amendment Bill 2023 was read for a second time and passed in the senate Tuesday, July 25. Attorney General Ryan Pinder noting the bill’s importance in rectifying a deficiency in the framework with respect to notaries public.

The bill addresses two issues, waivers and exemptions for licensees and provisions of a grace period between the expiry and renewal of notary license.
