Shooting Off East Street South Leaves 19-Year-Old Man Dead

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police were alerted to a shooting scene off East Street South just after 10:45 PM, where they discovered the lifeless body of a teenager with multiple gunshot wounds.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police were alerted to a shooting scene off East Street South just after 10:45 PM, where they found the lifeless body of a teenager with multiple gunshot wounds.

The police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Sheria King, was unable to confirm whether the victim had a prior history with law enforcement but appealed to men to find alternative ways to resolve conflicts.

King also commented on the safety of the islands, echoing recent statements from Eleuthera’s Superintendent Franklyn Neely, who assured residents that despite recent violence, Eleuthera remains a safe place to live, work, and play.
