NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Forty-two-year-old Yinka Maria Strachan’s life was taken last month.

Necola Strachan describes her sister as a great, caring person who possessed many talents.

She says after calling the morgue and identifying her sister’s tattoos, she received a call asking her to come in to confirm the body was her sister’s.

It’s a loss Strachan says was completely devastating.

Police say Strachan was found with gunshot wounds on April 19th by a group of men swimming in the South Beach Canal.

Left behind to cherish memories are her four kids; her eldest, 20-year-old Daniel Strachan describing his mother as an excellent mother and a role model.
