UK Minister Excited About Redevelopment of GB Airport

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Member of Parliament and the United Kingdom’s Minister for The Americas and the Caribbean David Rutley is excited about the partnership that will result in the re-development of the Grand Bahama International Airport.

He says the United Kingdom has a wealth of expertise in engineering, infrastructure development and financing.

Chief Development Officer of the Manchester Airport Group Paul Willis is expected to be in Grand Bahama this month to go through additional design options.

From there, he says teams will be mobilized on the island from June onward and as it relates to the financial investment, he shared several initiatives.

Willis calling it a great opportunity to re-develop the airport since the passing of Hurricane Dorian. 

He says one of the key goals is to make it carbon neutral.
