NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 35-year-old South African man is facing deportation after he slashed his ex-girlfriend’s tire.

Johan Fourie was arrested and charged for causing damage after he slit the rear left tire on the woman’s 2015 BMW X5 SUV while she was out with another man.

He pleaded guilty to the charge at his arraignment and was ordered to give his victim  $662.73 to replace the tire.

Fourie compensated the woman to avoid spending three months behind bars.

But his legal woes didn’t end there.

That’s because it discovered that Fourie was in the country illegally after failing to renew his work permit 2022.

He also pleaded guilty to overstaying and paid a $2,500 fine to avoid a one-year  prison sentence.

Fourie was ordered deported.
