Stabbings, Fights, At Weekend Cooler Fete

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A cooler fete turning violent as videos on social media showing multiple fights and reported stabbings.

But Jared Higgs reports that no complaints have been made to police.

Multiple brawls spoiling a cooler fete over the weekend.

On Sunday, police said they had no facts surrounding claims that 13 people were stabbed. Some video from the incident shows a man being stomped and attacked with bottles.

The event titled Collide Cooler Fete, was held at a hookah lounge on Gladstone Road. Its promo video featuring soca music.

But video from the event shows a violent affair.

Deputy Commissioner of Police with responsibility for crime Clayton Fernander was asked about the incident at a press conference today.

With carnival approved, carnival party promoters were asked how they can ensure safety at carnival events after this weekend’s incidents. CEO of Alpha Sounds Promotions Trevor Davis gave this answer.
