UNITED STATES – Starbucks is cutting 1,100 corporate jobs and simplifying its U.S. menu to boost struggling sales.

On Monday the company said it will eliminate nearly a third of its menu over the next year, starting with the Royal English Breakfast Matte, White Hot Chocolate, and several Frappuccinos.

Starbucks says this will improve efficiency, reduce wait times, and refocus on core coffee offerings.

U.S. sales have dropped 8% amid complaints about prices, long waits, and unionization efforts.

Starbucks says the changes will take effect March 4th.
