NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Managing Director of Bahamas Waste, Francisco de Cardenas tells us his connection with the Bahamas National Trust was inevitable.

de Cardenas says the company is a constant supporter of the Bahamas National Trust.

And while de Cardenas says Bahamas Waste supports any clean-up initiative that needs their help he says the constant need for cleanups is distressing.

While it’s easy to take our nation’s natural beauty for granted when you see it every day.

“I’ve taken people to the exams 10-20 years ago that still talk about it today,” de Cardenas said.

“I mean it’s just- you know its just I’m not sure which astronaut said it but it’s just the most beautiful place in the world, and if we don’t do what we have to do to protect it, we’ll lose it!”
