MIAMI, FLORIDA – Sweet Emily has performed on many Bahamian stages, and her voice is one that many local musicians describe as the true Bahamian sound.

That sound landed her on one of music’s biggest global stages, the recent Jazz In The Gardens Festival in Miami, Florida.

The first Bahamian to ever perform at the mega festival our uniquely made music attracting Bahamians and Americans to the stage.

In our candid interview, Sweet Emily reminisced on the big day, which she confessed took some serious preparation.

Her performance ended seamlessly but behind the scenes, she says things didn’t go quite as planned. Set to perform at 3pm, Emily’s sound check was delayed.

In the end, she says it was a performance to remember. Overall Sweet Smily says she’s just proud to represent her country.
