NASSAU, BAHAMAS – While Nassau often steals the spotlight, Grand Bahama’s business community is quietly building momentum.

One entrepreneur says this growth is real, fueled by partnerships and increasing demand for affordable, professional office space.

Levin Wilson, president and co-founder of Access Cowork Suites in Western New Providence, shares how their collaboration with the Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) has been a key milestone. “Grand Bahama Port Authority was our first tenant. They believed in our vision and have been with us for over a year and a half,” Wilson said.

He views this partnership as more than just business, it signals that Grand Bahama’s economic engine is gaining strength. “They host most of their events here. We support them, and I believe there may be a partnership soon to bring this ecosystem to the ‘second city.’”

From real estate firms to government departments, Wilson notes professionals on Grand Bahama are increasingly turning to flexible workspace options that were unavailable before. “There’s a shortage of affordable office spaces, especially here. Post-COVID, awareness of virtual and hybrid work has fueled demand for this kind of business.”

With Access Cowork Suites in Nassau reaching full capacity, Wilson is eyeing expansion to Grand Bahama to create a thriving coworking community complete with modern offices, boardrooms, and event spaces. “We’re searching for the right space. One West Plaza offers great convenience with nearby restaurants and proximity to the airport. Finding a similar location is challenging, but we’re working on it because our business is ready to expand.”

For now, entrepreneurs on both islands are connected by a growing network that could reshape how business is done across the Bahamas.
