TORONTO, CANADA – Owen Taylor has been named MVP of Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Baseball according to the team’s website.

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues won a league championship a few weeks ago behind Taylor’s heroic hitting and pitching. He was also named league all-star.

Taylor hit .413 on the season with a 1.013 OPS and five steals for good measure. He was one of the toughest outs in the league, striking out only six times. He came up big in the team’s championship against the University of Waterloo, hitting the clutch go-ahead RBI double to put the team ahead and then coming in from the outfield to get the game-sealing save, pitching a perfect inning, striking out two hitters in the process.

A third-year student studying commerce, Taylor still has a year left to dominate Canadian college baseball.

Don’t look for him to stop anytime soon.
