TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS – High-level security officials from the Turks and Caicos engaged in strategic meetings with Bahamian counterparts this week.

It’s a critical effort to stem, what officials describe as an “unprecedented level of gang violence” and firearm-related crime plaguing the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The discussions, held in Nassau on Monday, aimed to enhance collaboration and build capacity in the face of escalating criminal threats.

The TCI delegation met with Minister of National Security, Wayne Munroe, Commissioner of Police, Shanta Knowles, Defence Dorce Commodore, Floyd Moxey, and other executive security leads.

This comes as the Turks and Caicos Islands face a significant challenge with gang-related crime, prompting government to strengthen its ties with neighboring nations to curb the rising violence.
