NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teenager accused of a mass shooting that killed two and injured five others is seeking bail after he was attacked in prison and officials foiled another ambush.

Prosecutors say the 17 year-old boy took part in the August 10 shooting that claimed the lives of Eden Louis and Markentash Saintil and injured Hayden Breus, Trish Louis, Widny Saintil, Karib Rodgers, and Gregory Jean-Charles.

The victims were in a front of home on Robertha Drive in Ridgeland Park when two gunmen got out of a silver Nissan Cube up opened fire.

Since his remand to prison on September 30, the accused was attacked by another inmate in the prisons sick bay.

After that attack, prison officials relocated the inmate after they learned that inmates in the dorm were planning to attack him.

The accused is seeking bail on the grounds that he’s not safe in prison.
