NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is behind bars charged with a shooting this month.

19-year-old Zion Dawkins faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in relation to the April 10 shooting of Keandre Johnson-Barnette.

The victim was walking on hay street when he was shot by a man on a motorcycle.

Dawkins was not required to plead to the charges when he appeared before acting chief magistrate Ancella Evans.
