NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As Rand Memorial Hospital continues to face structural challenges, Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Michael Darville says modular facilities for the hospital will be built by the end of the first quarter.

His comments come amid complaints from residents there about the waiting area for the Accident and Emergency Department which Our News understands is outside.

As for a new hospital for Grand Bahama, he said the process is going well, adding that they’re working to get final approvals for the facility.

However, he says the process is a complicated one.

Dr. Darville also revealed they’re closer than ever to locking down a site for the new location of Princess Margaret Hospital.
