NASSAU, BAHAMAS- The fifth annual Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival’s Bollywood & Bubbles Brunch delivered plenty of color, flavor and share-worthy moments.

Held Sunday in the Rosewood Ballroom, the event brought together chefs Maneet Chauhan and Amanda Freitag, along with sommelier Amanda McCrossin.

The buffet blended Indian cuisine with Caribbean favorites, including a Bahamian staple — conch fritters.

Jennifer Dodd – Executive Sous Chef, Rosewood

“Chef Maneet and Chef Amanda came, worked together. It took several months to come through and do a couple of menus. Our pastry chefs did some Indian-inspired desserts, and of course, we represented the West Indies with our shrimp curry and the conch fritters.”

Paired with the food was Bollywood-inspired decor and guests’ colorful outfits, adding to the feel of an Indian celebration.

But it was the energy in the room that really brought the party to life.

With entertainment from the Essence Band, guests were soon out of their seats and on their feet, dancing throughout the afternoon.

And leading the fun was Chef Maneet herself.

From the food and festive fashion to the music that kept everyone moving, Bollywood & Bubbles offered guests more than just a brunch.

It was an experience, and that may be the secret behind its lasting appeal.
