GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – St. Paul’s Methodist College has had its share of challenges over the years.

You may remember classrooms on the school’s campus had serious issues forcing the school to move into a former hotel on the Mall Drive.

But now they’ve returned to the school’s original campus on Clive Avenue in Freeport.

But, the student body decreased significantly to just one hundred students.

Although small in size, Principal Sophia Howden says their students are committed to learning.

The principal says they are still working to make repairs on campus adding that last year, there was a fundraising effort that the business community supported.

Still, there are a number of structures that still need to be renovated.

The school has produced many greats in the country from politicians, lawyers, journalists and Christian leaders.

Howden is optimistic that the school will regain its prominence.

She says lots of graduates are helping out.
