NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A third man is behind bars in connection with a deadly shooting in Harbour Island last year.

Jamaine Grant is accused of the murder of Cameron Bannister and the attempted murder of Cassius Turnquest.

According to police, on June 10, the pair were riding a golf cart on Munnings Street in Harbour Island when they were ambushed by a gunman.

Prosecutors allege that grant acted along with Junior Norvil and Johnson Versane, who were previously charged.

Grant was not required to enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux.

Bail was denied and he returns to court in October to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers that will send the case to the supreme court.
