NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A retired judge set the record straight Wednesday after the audience at a consultative forum expressed concern for their sons with regards to the Sexual Offenses Amendment Bill 2023.

Retired Judge Carol Munnings-Misiewicz says she was not concerned for her sons, brothers, and other male family members, and that the proposed bill would simply allow married women to report an event as a crime that would otherwise be seen as a crime if she didn’t have a ring on her finger.

She also took things a step further as multiple audience members expressed concerns about false accusations possibly resulting in their sons receiving life sentences in prison.
