NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Lines of new junior high students came in through the double doors to cheers and confetti Monday morning, ready to start their new journeys at L.W. Young Jr. High School.

This student telling us while the first day of school can be a little intimidating, but it’s exciting.

She’s hoping to participate in a number of sports this schoolyear.

But her overarching goal is clear.

Over at E.P. Roberts Primary School, little ones excitedly gathered in their new classrooms… Spanish teacher, Kendra Cash tells us.

With some even getting to chat with Education Minister Glenys Hanna-Martin on their first day back.
