NCAA Basketball

Deyton Albury made such an impression playing against Eric Olen last season that when Olen took over the program at New Mexico, one of his first acts as head coach was to grab Albury out of the transfer portal and bring him along to Albuquerque.

Albury wiLl keep it in the Mountain West Conference and has committed to the New Mexico Lobos for the upcoming season.

He spent last season with the Utah State Aggies where he averaged 7.8 points in just over 18.7 minutes per game.

When he faced Olen and UC San Diego last season, he scored 15 points off the bench and also scored 12 points against New Mexico.

Albury spent his first two colLegiate seasons at Chipola Junior College in Florida.

He then transferred to Queen’s College where he was named Atlantic Sun Newcomer of the Year.

Due to the Diego Pavia court ruling that granted players more NCAA eligibility if they started their careers in junior college, Albury will have two years of eligibility remaining at UNM.
