UNITED STATES – TikTok’s bid to overturn a looming U.S. ban has been rejected by a federal appeals court, which upheld the law requiring the app to be sold or banned by early 2025.

The court this week called the law a bipartisan effort to counter national security risks posed by tiktok’s alleged ties to China. It’s a claim TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance, continue to deny.

TikTok says it plans to appeal to the supreme court, arguing the ban violates free speech rights and is based on flawed information.
