NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On this day in Bahamian history, in 2015, the Free National Movement questioned whether a police investigation was warranted, after then Agriculture Minister V. Alfred Gray was relieved of his local government portfolio.

This was pending an independent investigation into alleged interference with a court case for one of his constituents. Gray denied that he acted improperly when he contacted the Mayaguana Island administrator who was acting as the local magistrate at the time.


In 2016, another fire at New Providence Landfill sending clouds of smoke across the island.


On March 28, 2021, then Tourism and Aviation Minister Dionisio D’Aguilar defended government purchase of the Grand Bahama International Airport from the port for $1.
