Today in Bahamian history, tributes poured in for Bahamas Faith Ministries Founder, the late Dr. Myles Munroe, his wife Ruth and seven others, after they were killed in a private plane crash.

The Lear 36 Executive Jet they were on struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Shipyard and exploded on impact before crashing to the ground.

The passengers were on their way to an event in Freeport. The tragic accident was described as one of the worst air accidents in the country’s history.


On this day in 1985, Princess Diana danced with actor John Travolta at a White House dinner.

She was seen wearing an ink-blue Victor Edelstein gown. The gown sold for $222,500 during an auction at Christie’s Auction House in New York June 25. It was the highest price paid for any one of the 79 gowns worn by the princess.
