Traffic Fatalities Leave 2 Dead, 1 Injured

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Traffic police are investigating two Sunday night fatalities leaving a man and a woman dead.

Police say the first incident happening just before 9:30 PM in Gregory Town, Eleuthera when a woman in a Nissan Note crashed into a casuarina tree.

The male driver was airlifted to New Providence where he remains in serious condition. The woman died on the scene.

In the earlier incident in New Providence, police say a 62-year-old man was walking in the Carmichael Road area around 7:30 PM when he was struck by a vehicle.

He was taken to hospital by EMS personnel but died shortly after.

Investigations into both matters continue.
