NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A convict accused of beating his cellmate to death will stand trial for the murder.

33-year-old Diallo Williamson is charged with the murder of Mikhail Miller a 29-year-old psychiatric patient, was found dead in a cell in the maximum security section at The Bahamas Department of Corrections last November.

Prosecutors have served Williamson with a voluntary bill of indictment that fast-tracked his case to the supreme court for trial.

He is to be arraigned in early December.

Williamson is already serving two sentences. One for shop breaking and stealing. Another for stealing a phone and tablet from his mother.
