NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The National Tripartite Council has been asked to address the move toward a liveable wage, according to Labour Minister Keith Bell.

A liveable wage is one of the promises outlined in the Progressive Liberal Party’s Blueprint for Change, launched during the 2021 election season.

The Davis administration recently increased minimum wage to $260 per week.

Bell’s comments came on the sidelines of the National Tripartite Council’s Annual General Assembly Friday morning.

The General Assembly saw trade union heads gather to discuss labor matters and industrial relations.
