KREMLIN – U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in a 90-minute call today that the war between Russia and Ukraine needs to end with a “lasting peace”.

KREMLIN – U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in a 90-minute call today that the war between Russia and Ukraine needs to end with a “lasting peace”.

The White House releasing a statement saying and talks to achieve that goal will begin immediately.

The Kremlin also releasing a statement following the call saying Putin agreed to a proposal by the U.S. President for Russia and Ukraine to stop hitting each other’s energy infrastructure for 30 days.

Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been the target of large-scale attacks since Russia’s invasion in 2022, resulting in blackouts and freezing conditions for millions of people.
