UNITED STATES – President Donald Trump claims he’s made “200 deals” on tariffs without offering details.

In a Time Magazine interview, Trump said he’s spoken with Chinese President Xi Jinping but dodged questions about specific trade agreements.

China quickly pushed back, calling U.S. claims of ongoing talks “fake news.”

A spokesperson said no negotiations on tariffs have taken place.

Trump also avoided confirming if he’s spoken with Xi since tariffs were imposed, only saying he’s talked to him “many times.”
